Travel Assemblage Boxes
Inspired by the intricate creations of revered avant-garde assemblage box artist Joseph Cornell, I created this series of seven collage box artworks to evoke long ago travel memories of a moment frozen in time.
Inspired by my first travel adventure to Kathmandu I’ve included images from Swayambhunath monkey temple, Royal Nepal Airlines Mt Everest flight memento and a faded black and white postcard of Lamas and their ornate Dungchen long trumpets.

Inspired by my love of the Greek islands I created this assemblage box to include fragments of the Athens newspaper, mermaid with Greek flag and the record cover of my father’s favourite Greek Bouzouki music featuring “Zorba the Greek” and “Never on Sunday.”
